Palapa Nutmeg Liqueur began with a discovery by founder Dennis Yonasa during a visit to a nutmeg plantation in Cigudeg, Bogor, West Java, in December 2019. He noticed that the nutmeg fruit, a by-product of the spice production process, had little commercial value and was often left to compost back into the soil. Inspired by this overlooked ingredient, Dennis envisioned a way to celebrate the fruit by transforming it into a unique and flavorful drink, giving birth to Palapa Nutmeg Liqueur.
This liqueur is a smooth and refreshing blend that combines the rich essence of Balinese Arak with exotic flavors, herbs, and spices sourced from across Indonesia. It introduces the full, warm flavor of nutmeg fruit, complemented by a touch of passion fruit, a dash of lime, and subtle hints of clove, cinnamon, and star anise.
